Our purpose is to minister to the needs of the elderly and the disabled in their homes, our goal is to provide respite care to the family and also give them an alternative to institutional care. Studies have shown that there is a much higher demand for keeping loved ones at home rather than a nursing home. The loved one seems much happier in their own surroundings.
The duties we perform consist of: light house keeping, laundry, food shopping, meal preparation, bathing, nails, hair, doctor visits, “BUT MOST OF ALL JUST BEING A FRIEND” Our trained staff are experienced women who have been gifted with love and compassion and also live in the immediate area of the client. Recognizing the need for outside help such as a companion, homemaker can make this a viable option. Home care allows your loved one to remain in familiar surroundings with less disruption with a routine situation and reduce confusion. A lot of times I have come across situations where the family members are becoming “burn out” and neglecting other responsibilities’.

The companions can remind the client to take medications, assist with exercise programs. This plan of care can include light housekeeping and homemaking tasks such as : laundry, change bed linens, shopping for food planning and preparing meals. The companion may also help clients get out of bed, bathing, dress and groom.
